Shawn Foree is probably my favorite singer / songwriter. Whenever I’m in a shit mood, I can toss on a Digital Leather album and feel either better about the world or angrier depending on which album I’ve chosen. So I saw that the band is looking for a bit of crowd sourcing to help put out the next album, so I thought I’d toss the pitch up here for all.

DIGITAL LEATHER has a new album, which is pretty much the most amazing record ever, and we need to send it out to labels. But first we need some way to self-master and get it there. We found a sweet machine for a relatively low cost, and in exchange for helping us GET this mixer/ recorder, you get things.

For a $10 pledge, you get an album download well before the actual release date. For $15, you get the download PLUS a vinyl with a numbered SUPER limited edition cover. As an added bonus, you get the satisfaction that you’re a part of something larger than yourself, you’re elevating your friends to the next level in their artistic careers, you will feel less miserable about life, etc etc.
