Six More Reasons to Hate The Ladies is like waking up after a party to find that you’ve pissed the couch only to find out that you didn’t piss the couch, someone else did and you just slept in it.

Scuzzy, dirty, filthy, snotty, bratty intentionally obnoxious and you fucking love it.

The immediate connection this has to me is the Dwarves classic album Blood Guts and Pussy, but I feel like the legs have been cut from beneath me even trying to mention it because that album is listed as an influence by the band themselves.

Like that seminal (semenal?) slab of shit rock, Six More Reasons to Hate The Ladies is full of off kilter humor and jerky observation. The best of these is probably “Too Bad ‘Bout Dad” with its line “Pull your back panties up / your daddy issues are showing.” Each of these songs is so short that they don’t dare overstay their welcome, but even the shorter of these songs are crammed with hooks coupled with memorable riffs.

It’s out next week on Grave Mistake Records and comes highly recommended for when you come home stumbling drunk and you want to annoy your roommates.
